The CORE Supervisory Board is responsible for the proper execution and implementation of the decisions of the CORE Steering Committee.  The Board monitors the effective and efficient implementation of the Project. In addition, the Supervisory Board shall collect information at least every 6 months on the progress of the Project, examine that information to assess the compliance of the Project with the Description of the Action and, if necessary, propose modifications of the Description of the Action to the Steering Committee.
The Supervisory Board activities shall include but may not be limited to the following:-
  • oversee the quality of the [Project] and ensure an adequate balance between scientific / technological and transferable skills training.
  • ensure that the skills acquired by the ESRs fulfill the needs of both academia and the non-academic sector in order to enhance the intersectoral employability of the researchers.
  • establish an active and continuous communication and exchange of best practice among the [Parties] to maximise the benefits of the [Project].
  • oversee the quality and quantity of supervision of the ESRs.
The Board is composed of representatives from all beneficary and associate partners, two independent scientists from outside the network, three ESR representatives to take on board the views and participation of ESRs in decision-making and the Horizon2020 project officer who is invited as an observer.
