Welcome to the CORE ITN

CORE is a four year Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network (ITN) on Continuous Resolution and Deracemization of Chiral Compounds by Crystallization which started on the 1 October 2016. CORE brings together 8 beneficiary partners and 6 associate partners from 6 European countries resulting in an unparalleled combination of chirality, synthesis and crystallization training and research covering the areas of Chemical Engineering, Chemistry and Applied Physics.

The CORE network employs 15 Early Stage Researchers on a challenging research-training programme, which is to be completed with a PhD thesis. The CORE network will provide excellent infrastructure, is well equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, and has substantial knowledge and experience from eminent senior academics in the field.  In addition to hands-on training in multidisciplinary and intersectoral research, ESRs will be provided with extensive transferable skills training through network-wide training events. A key component of the training is that Early Stage Researchers will undertake secondments with Academic and Industrial Partners. 
 
The research objective of the CORE Network is to jointly construct a CORE Industrial Toolbox on Continuous Resolution that provides next generation tools, approaches and methods to industry for the development continuous resolution processes. The strongly involved industrial partners will ensure that the CORE Industrial Toolbox fulfils their requirements in the skills gap areas Towards Continuous, Hybrid Resolution and Enabling Resolution.

Final CORE Workshop
The final CORE event will be held in Friedrich-Alexander-Universitšt, Erlangen, 8-11 October 2019.

This is the final time that all 15 CORE Early Stage Researchers will have an opportunity to present their work to the partners. We have also scheduled a final CORE supervisory Board meeting for beneficiaries, associate partners and external experts.

The event will end on Friday 11th with a mini symposium with invited external speakers who will be confirmed shortly. This will be an open to all..... more
